Getting back into the game. Advice? - Guild Wars Forums

Hey all,

I recently started playing GW again after about two years and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for how to get my footing again? I'm rusty in PvP and want to learn the current meta and conventions and stuff. And in PvE I'm looking for a guild and trying to figure what campaigns to beat, what to farm, what items to go for things like. So if anyone has any advice along these lines that would be great!

P.S. Also, does anyone know of an easy way to keep up with the PvP meta?

1. Do you have all campaigns?

2. Do you have a main character?

3.To keep up with current "meta" NEVER use PvX wiki anymore, its basically all outdated.

4.If you have all campaigns and main i recommend beating them all starting with any really and then working towards cool/unique items or starting to farm.

PvXwiki was recently moved; the new one is actually updated. Beyond that, watch obs mode every once in a while.

And I guess you already know about the hom, http://hom.guildwars2.com/en/#page=welcome, if you havn't filled your hom yet it might be something to aim for?

Thank you both for the help. Much appreciated. It confirms what I was thinking sorta, so that's great. Yes I have a main and am finishing up Prophecies, and trying to blow through Nightfall with an alt. Good to know as I use PvX wikia quite a bit

As a follow up quesiton, where are some good places to farm besides FoW and UW?
